Hello All - warning this is long but I wanted to dump out my experience to y'all if it is useful.

Hi. I'll skip the part of how I got to Code 12 (unless someone asks for details on how I got my X230 to recognize the egpu). I've been doing a lot of reading and think I'm close but fail towards the end of the process.

I found this link to the tools but not 100% sure I'm using the right ones:
1. I ran acpidump -b to create my dsdt.dat
2. I ran iasl dsdt.dat to create my dsdt.dsl
3. I inserted the following...

just wanted to ask i have a folio 9480m i wanted to buy a Mpcie 8.0 EXP beast for 29€ but i found another NGFF version that cost double the price 50€
My wifi card is A+E key M.2 but i think the Mpcie will work normally!! just want to make sure. can you confirm to me guys.

Hi. I have a PE4C with GTX 1060 6GB running on a X230 Win 10 8GB machine. When I plug my monitor into the eGPU the monitor runs fine but when I try to play a game or run a benchmark it displays on the laptop monitor instead of the external. How do I turn off my laptop monitor and just get it to run on my external?

Also, I assume performance would be better on the external monitor since the Expresscard doesn't consume bandwidth sending the video back to the laptop monitor?

can some one tell what are all i need to connect a External graphics card from these laptops
to a LCD monitor of 2560 x 1440 resolution and one with 4k monitor

Dell latitude E6430
HP Elitebook 8470 (this is newer and better graphics card than Dell above)

considering a video card dock to help with , but dont know what all i need to get to make this work

I have recd this video dock EXP GDC and I watched a youtube video but is very unclear

so when we do uninstall the default graphics driver and install the new driver of my graphics card Radeon R7250?
I am afraid if I uninstall the default graphics adapter, would I lose the display? before I install the new driver of R7250

Hi all, my system is Hp Spectre x360 Skylake.
i have a M.2 socket key-M that support both Sata and PciE 4x. Is possibile that work at same time?
Is possibile make a M.2 M splitter: one for sata ahci SSD, one for PciE 4x Bus for EGPU?
I searched very well no answer.

Or it's better to go with remove of card wireless Intel ac-7265(other M.2 slot PciE 2x) for EGPU?

Dear friends,
i have an problem while trying GTX 1070 as eGPU and also i have a friend have same problem with GTX 1060. i have error 43. i am using GDC EXP Beast V7 (mPCIe Version) with laptop Y580 (i7 3630QM, 8GB RAM and PSU Corsair CX550M)

i have GTX 970 and it is working normally only this error coming with my new GPU MSI GTX 1070 8GB RAM.


so, anyone know how to solve this issue ???

Hello guys, as I'm new on this eGPU topic I would like to have yours opinions on my personal combination of components. I'm going to do the conection with the mPCIe Here they go:

-Notebook: ASUS X556UA-DM326T
-GPU: Sapphire AMD RX480 Nitro+ 4 GB
-PSU: Corsair CP-9020046-UK
-Adapter PE4C-PM060A V3.0

And then I'm going to change de HDD for a SSD

PS: I don't want to spend more than 1000 pounds. Thank you guys hope you can help me out

So I plan on attaching an eGPU to my HP Omen but being fairly new to this kind of thing I am not sure whether it will work or not.

I have done a bit of research and I know you need a PCI-E port and that's as far as I got. I also intend on utilising the GTX 1060 for the eGPU.

So I want to know whether this particular setup on the HP Omen will work or not
Also how much performance will be lost using an eGPU

ive tried following nando's tutorial or walkthrough on trying to figure out if my laptop is compatible to use a eGPU but i dont know that much about the pci ports or any of that ****. ik its gonna bottleneck. obviously. thanks for any help : )

I am looking to hook up an eGPU to one of the new Macbook Pro's (2016)

I am very new to the eGPU world, and I realise the new Macbooks aren't out yet - so information will almost be zero, but any sort of advice would be great.

Does an external graphics card supersede the internal GFX card - meaning, does it turn off the internal GPU and run on its own, or does it run in unison? Ideally I'd like the eGPU to be working in unison with the internal GPU to increase performance, or it...

If so this sounds interesting i've always purchased sli laptops in the past such as the p377sm-a and the p370em but the p870dm3 seems to have overheating issues so maybe a egpu...
